In response to the July 21st UIL decision, the Blackcat Band will begin rehearsals Monday August 3, 2020 with Brass and Percussion at 11:00 am, full Band Marching at 1:00 pm and Woodwinds following from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Looking forward to making great music!

Please welcome Coach Moses Molina to the Mexia. He’ll be teaching Professional Communication at MHS & coaching at MJHS. After a college baseball career, he earned a MBA. His background gives him a great resource to work with students.

Important Message for MHS Blackcat Athletics from MISD and MISD Athletics:
Due to a current Mexia Athlete being exposed to COVID-19 by a family member who tested positive, the 8am session of EDGE is suspended immediately until results of the student are provided to district administration. When results are received, parents and athletes will be contacted.
EDGE workouts that include Ladycats and MJH athletes will continue as normal. Thank you for your patience during this challenging time.

MHS Virtual Summer School will continue until July 30, 2020. For students needing in-person tutoring, the following schedule will be used to best help our students.
Beginning Monday, July 13, 2020...
Monday/ Wednesday 8:00-12:00 Math and Science
Tuesday/ Thursday 8:00-12:00 English and History
All students & staff will be required to wear a mask for these tutoring sessions. MISD will provide masks, but individuals are welcome to bring their own.
COVID screening will occur before each student enters the building, including a temperature check. Please do not attend if you are not feeling well or have any of the possible symptoms associated with COVID-19.
Students are not required to attend, but may come and go as they need assistance in course work. Virtual assistance will also be provided for those requesting.
MHS will follow all district and state guidelines in order to keep our students and staff in a safe environment.
