Mexia ISD would like to thank all agencies for their work in resolving the threat. The District will have school and activities as usual on Monday, February 3, 2020.

Hello Mexia Blackcat Families
Today, January 30th at approximately 1:10 p.m., the district received a threat against the high school. After preliminary investigations, the Mexia Police Department reinforced a soft (perimeter) lockdown with the assistance of the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Student safety continues to be our #1 priority. Tomorrow, Friday, January 31st, all schools will be open with increased presence from local and state law enforcement. We appreciate your patience and continued support.

At approximately 1:10 this afternoon, Mexia HS received a phone threat from out of state. Out of caution, Mexia High School has been placed on a soft lockdown (remaining in the building) with assistance of Mexia PD, as they investigate.
