What is Special Education Counseling?
Special Education Counseling is a short term intervention that is solution focused and cognitively and behaviorally oriented. It is available to special education students who require this service in order to benefit from their specially designed instruction (IEP). Special Education counseling is based on the educational and emotional needs of the student as related to school issues.
Transition and Employment Designee (TED)
The Transition and Employment Designee (or TED) is an employee in a school district who is designated as the primary contact for transition and employment services for students with disabilities. Transition planning can help special education students decide what they want for their future and figure out the steps to take in order to meet their goals.
