Mrs. Chimere Conner
Chimere Conner joined Mexia ISD in 2004 and is currently working as the Principal of the Developmental Center for Blackcat Nation. She earned both her bachelor's degree (2006) and her master’s degree (2013) from Texas A&M (Commerce). Chimere holds the following educational certifications: EC-4 Generalist, 5-8 Generalist and EC-12 Principal.
Mrs. Conner’s career has prepared her to serve the students of Mexia in many ways. She began her career in Mexia as a paraprofessional from 2004-2006 at Mexia Junior High. She was a teacher & coach for 8 years at Mexia Junior High. Chimere then transitioned to Teague Junior High where she was a teacher & coach for three years. Mrs. Conner began her administrative career as the Mexia Junior High Assistant Principal from 2017-2018 and then was promoted to the Mexia High School Assistant Principal in 2018 where she served for 6 years.
Mrs. Conner grew up in Mexia. She married Damian Conner in 2009 and they have three sons and one daughter. When not working, Chimere enjoys shopping, watching tv and traveling.
